Delano Montplaisir

I'm an Electrical & Computer Engineering undergraduate at the University of the West Indies, based in Bridgetown, Barbados. I build things that sit at the boundary between hardware and software — systems where a sensor reading becomes a dashboard, where a BLE packet becomes a clinical insight, where a robot's IMU data becomes a traversal strategy.

My technical interests span embedded firmware, real-time IoT pipelines, robotics simulation, and full-stack product engineering. I like shipping things to real users — not just demos.

Outside of personal projects, I co-founded Argentum Intelligence with Matthew Ward. Our flagship product, Ēkhō, is a public sentiment intelligence platform currently deployed for the Barbados government — analyzing live radio call-in programs for sentiment, policy categories, and parish-level trends.

I'm a member of FutureBARBADOS, a regional innovation network focused on Caribbean tech and entrepreneurship.
